This camera was bought for me when I was about to start college.

Having had the camera since 2008 this camera is certainly outdated in it's technology what with mirrorless digital cameras who's quality rivals that of medium format film.

I have been shooting with this camera for so long that - though it might be nostalgic more than anything -  I don't feel the need to update. This is the only digital camera that I currently use and it's does the job for what I require.

There's a lot of truth in the phrase *if it ain't broke, don't fix it*.

For now I want to focus on traditional methods of image capture.

See bellow for details of what film cameras I currently use.

I bought this camera for myself around Christmas time from Japan.

I found the camera via an online seller and I was thrilled to see a camera of its age is such fantastic condition. Unfortunately... this is not that camera.

Christmas being Christmas and Royal Mail being Royal Mail the original delivery got lost sometime after it arrived in London.

Well, packages don't just disappear so to whomever found themselves the unexpected owner of an immaculate Canon AE-1, congrats. To the seller who sent me another one of his shiny new cameras for no extra fee... Commiserations. You are my hero.

I acquired this camera not far from my home in Sutton. The owner of the camera had inherited it but had no understanding of - or interest in photography. Understandably they simply wanted it to go to a good home.

I paid a mere £35 for what can only be described as a very well looked after camera. Both myself and the seller were happy.

I can't recommend enough buying gear from charity shops and online sellers. There may be times that it can go wrong but so long as you have some knowledge of what to look out for and don't feel pressured to make a decision quickly you should be fine... and of course... do your research.
